    Join us in creating an intimate dinner for two – date night, girl’s night, or just a friend’s night away from kids. Each meal is geared towards adding flair to a dish as well as skills and techniques from which most everyone can benefit. Use this time to get closer to a special someone or learn to impress others in the future when dining at home. Build up your confidence with food or come meet new people who also share a love of cooking. All levels of experience are welcome. Classes are for adults ages 18 and older.   3. Registration opens for Library Summer Reading Mini-Camps

    April 23, All Day @ Library

    Camps designed to build your child’s knowledge and explore different topics. Registration begins April 23. Library card not required. Space is limited! Fee is non-refundable. All camps take place at the La Vista Public Library, 9110 Giles Rd. Under the Sea June 27, 9 a.m.-noon, Ages 4-7 We’ve got no troubles. Life is full of bubbles. Under the sea! We’ll explore all things related to the ocean through a variety of different crafts, activities and more. Star-Studded STEAM July 2, 1-4 p.m., Ages 7-10 Let’s discover space and space-related objects using various S.T.E.A.M. concepts. These include science, technology, engineering, art and math. Geology July 12, 1-4 p.m., Ages 8-12 Learn and explore more about rocks, geodes and excavation in this hands-on summer camp. It’ll be mountains of fun!

  5. Annual Clean-Up Days

    April 27 - April 28 @ Public Works

    La Vista’s annual Clean-Up Days will be held on Friday, April 27 and Saturday April 28. All residents, including residents in the City’s Extra-Territorial Zoning Jurisdiction, are encouraged to take advantage of this free disposal service by bringing discarded items to the Public Works Facility, 9900 Portal Road. Hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Electronic recycling will be available this year!
