Snow Headquarters
When the snow falls, your safety on the streets is our top priority. Whether an inch of ice or 2 feet of snow, La Vista's Public WorksLa Vista plows.jpg crews know how to respond when inclement weather becomes an issue.

During a major storm, we will issue periodic updates to the local media, through La Vista e-newsletters, and on our Facebook page and Twitter account.

Latest Storm Updates
Monday, February 1, 6:00 a.m.
Crews will be going to 12 hour shifts starting at 3:00 p.m. today.

Monday, February 1, 4:00 p.m.
In anticipation of the forecast significant winter storm, La Vista City Hall, the Community Center and Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, February 2.

The City Council meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. All items on that agenda will be considered at the February 16 City Council meeting.

Additionally, effective at 10 p.m. today, the City of La Vista is in a snow emergency until further notice. Please move all vehicles from residential streets to allow plow crews a clear path.

Tuesday, February 2, 2:30 p.m.
The snow emergency will end at midnight tonight.

Crews will begin clearing the circles this afternoon, but because the snow is wet and heavy, that phase of snow operations will have to be done with loaders and backhoes. 

Please be patient as the guys move through the City to clear the circles.
