General Information
Following are some general guidelines regarding the City of La Vista’s hiring process. Please see job postings for specifics on a particular position.
Applications
All applicants for City positions must submit a fully completed City of La Vista Employment Application. A resume may be required for certain positions; however, a resume will not be accepted as a substitute for a completed City employment application. Some positions may require the submittal of supplemental material. Please see Job Postings for specifics.
Procedures
Positions indicating “open until filled” may be closed at any time without prior notice. Applications are screened by Human Resources and those determined to meet the qualifications are sent to the hiring department for review. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted by phone.
