East La Vista Sewer Project

Here is your update as of March 13:

Over the next two weeks crews will be completing the service lateral repair work on Edna Street. 

Beginning in April the sewer crew to start working on S. 71st St. replacing the main line as well as individual service laterals. Paving crews will reinstall pavement intermittently that is removed during the lateral repair work. 

Additionally, some exploratory digital video surveillance will be performed on laterals on Emiline and S. 69th St. from Emiline to Josephine. Please be patient with this process and allow access to cleanout openings from your home. Examination of these service lines is crucial to this process. This work will be intermittent over the next couple of weeks. 

Other work taking place in the area includes MUD relocating fire hydrants on S 69th St, as well as updating and repairing various primary service valves. OPPD is also in the area reinstalling streetlights in areas where new ADA curb ramps were in conflict with existing lights. You will also see Black Hills Energy crews that are working primary gas distribution line on Edna St.

Don't forget about the Public Open House for this project, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, 5-7 p.m. at City Hall. A short presentation will take place at 6 p.m. and that will be livestreamed on the City's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
