Let’s work together to keep our community warm this winter!
The 2025 La Vista Gives Coat Drive will run September 2 through October 6.
We are collecting donations of new and gently used winter coats, hooded sweatshirts, hats, gloves and mittens. All sizes (child and adult) are welcome. Donated items will be distributed to local families through a partnership with the PLCS Community Closet.
Help us spread the warmth! Donations will be accepted September 2 through October 6 at these locations:
- • Kellogg Credit Union, 9618 Brentwood Dr.
- • La Vista Chiropractic, 7202 Giles Rd.
- • La Vista City Hall/Community Center, 8116 Park View Blvd.
- • La Vista Police Department, 7701 S. 96th St.
- • La Vista Public Library, 9110 Giles Rd.
- • La Vista Public Works, 9900 Portal Rd.
You can help by:
- Cleaning out your closets and bringing in coats you no longer wear
- Purchasing a new coat to donate
- Setting out a collection box at your business
- Asking organizations you belong to (church, school, volunteer groups) to collect donation items
The PLCS Community Closet will distribute donated coats and other winter items at an event at La Vista Middle School on Saturday, October 18.
